This question can be interpreted in two ways: how many skills can be defined for the system, or how many skills can be displayed by the user on the Resource Data Sheet in PDWare Portfolio. There is no practical limit to the number of skills that can be defined by an administrator. The number of skills that can be displayed is limited either by the number of available columns on the Excel worksheet or by the user.
In Excel version 2003, the number of skills that can be displayed is limited by the number of columns on a sheet (approximately 255). In versions later than 2003, more than 16,000 columns are available, so display is unlimited for all practical purposes.
The user can specify the number of skills to be displayed using the first tab, Filter Options, on the Tools > Options dialog.
If the skills to be displayed are fewer then the skills defined, a skills scrollbar is created in the toolbar area which enables a variety of left and right scroll options for the skills grid on the Resource Data sheet.
