PDWare integrates with MS Project in three basic ways. At the first level of integration, top level phases and marked milestones are brought in by default. Phases and milestones will be visible in the PDWare Status Module and phases in the Project Data tab of the Portfolio Module.
In the second level of integration, the work effort is planned as tasks in MS Project and imported into PDWare as rolled up demand for each resource or skill for the project. This demand can be saved directly or made as requests.
In the third level of integration, the full MS Project Plan may be imported from within the PDWare Scheduler, providing task level visibility in PDWare and the ability to track actuals at task level.
