Calculated Summary Fields
Three calculated summary fields are available; Non-Labor Category, Non-Labor Value, and Skill Value. All three can be placed in a Project Custom Report form. Only Non-Labor Category can be displayed in a user defined column on the Project Data sheet by using the Map Optional Fields dialog.
Non-Labor Category
UDF or PCR. Sums the cost of all non-labor assignments for a project that have the selected category value. In the screen shot below, the non-labor categories are: Capital, Opex, Other, Vendor A, Vendor B.
If Capital is associated with a UDF column or a cell in a Custom Report template, the total cost of all non-labor assignments that have Capital as category is calculated and displayed.
Non-Labor Value
PCR only. Sums the cost of all non-labor assignments for a project that have the selected name value.
If CoGS (Cost of Goods Sold) is associated with a cell in a Custom Report template, the total cost of all CoGS non-labor assignments on the project is calculated and displayed. (Usually there will only be one such assignment but many can be assigned – for example, to have different cost rates for different years or quarters.)
Skill Value
PCR only. Sums the FTE or Hours demand of all assignments for a project that have the selected skill name value.
If DBA (Database Analyst) is associated with a cell in a Custom Report template, the total demand of all resource and skill assignments on the project where the Required Skill is DBA is calculated and displayed.
