Enter the work required from each resource on each task on the sheet labeled “Work”.
A dotted pattern in period data cells means there is no resource availability in that period; clear background means there is some availability during the period. Work can be entered in any period even if there is no availability.
When the selection is in a row, the detail at the top of the screen shows availability and demand for the resource and shows the start and finish dates for the task.
Task assignments for team members added by the user have the dotted pattern in all cells (until work effort is converted to forecast availability - see Steps 5 and 6 below).
