ID

ID for PDWare login screen.  If the ID is the same as a user’s Windows login, a password will not be required to login.

User Name for reporting.

Name

Sponsor name for Project Sponsor dropdown list.

Domain

Name

Domain name for Project Domain dropdown list and analysis.

 

 

Target

Target effort percentage for a domain for portfolio analysis.

Categories

Name

Category name for Project Category dropdown list and analysis.

Project States

Name

Project State name for Project State dropdown list and workflow.

 

 

Order

The order States will be listed in the dropdown list.

Project Summaries

Name

Summary Level name to roll up Projects.

 

 

Priority

Priority to be applied to the Summary level during rollup.

Phases

Name

The default lifecycle phase names associated with each new project. Maximum 15 phases.

Milestones

Name

The default milestones associated with each new project. Maximum 30 milestones.

Project Codes

Name

A controlled list of values which can be used to identify projects and associate them to external systems.

Effort States

Name

State name for the Effort State dropdown list.

 

Alloc 1st

Y/N Assignments in this state will be allocated first with no regard to project priority and resource capacity.

 

Order

The order the states will be listed in the dropdown list.

Skills

Name

Skill Name for Resource Skill dropdown list and Resource rollup.

Cost Rate

Monthly FTE Cost Rate for cost calculations.

Bill Rate

Monthly FTE Bill Rate for cost calculations.

Non-labor

Name

A list of non-resource/skills items that can be assigned to project. Examples include expense, capital, revenue, equipment, and laboratories.

Cost Rate

Monthly FTE Cost Rate for cost calculations.

Bill Rate

Monthly FTE Bill Rate for cost calculations.

Order

The order the items will be displayed in the lists.

External

Y/N Indicates if the item is imported from an external system, and will be calculated independently of “internal” items.

Category

Allows all items with the same value to be summarized as one line item in the ‘Cost Shale’ report.

Cost Categories

Name

Cost Category name for Resource Cost Category dropdown list and reporting.

Cost Rate

Monthly FTE Cost Rate for cost calculations

Bill Rate

Monthly FTE Bill Rate for cost calculations

List Lookup              

Field

Defines a set of values that can be selected on user defined fields on Project, Program, and Resource data sheets. The way to identify the field is first to list the sheet type and then the number of the UDF (1-60). For example: Project11 will define a value for User Defined Field 11 on the Project Data Sheet.

Value

The value to display for the field.

Proficiency

Name

The name of a skill proficiency.

Code

A single character symbol to be used for the resource’s skill proficiency on the Resource data sheet’s skill grid.

Overhead List

Name

Overhead category against which people can report time.

Status Field List

Field

Project (Program) Data sheet Column title which will be displayed in the PDWare Status module.

 

 

Type

Determines formatting or display/entry behavior of the field on the Status Entry sheet.

 

 

GYR Explanation

If Type is GYR, a UDF field can be specified that contains an explanation of the status.

If Type is POP, a large text dialog will appear when the user selects the field in the Status module.

 

 

Read Only

If the value is “Y”, the project manager cannot modify the value; if “N”, the project manager can modify the value.

 

 

Row #

Row number in the optional field areas in the Status module for display of the field.

 

The Overhead List is used only in the PDWare iTeam product; it has no effect on the PDWare Portfolio frontend.
